Altamura (BA) Link Assosiation, Murgia Materana Parco company and Pisticci (MT) Allelammie Cultural Association are going to carry out the 10+ project, funded by the European union, within the program "Prince", dedicated to townsmen’s information. The project intends to promote, in the regions Puglia and Basilicata, the knowledge of the 10 new members of the Union (Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Cyprus, Slovenia). The 10+ bet is finding out the people and the cultures of these Countries through the cinema and the visual arts. The main goal of the project is acquainting about the processes of the Union enlargement and the outcomes of the processes on everyday life, through an easy perception instrument such as the cinema is. The project consists of:
October 2005 - March 2006: Information campaign about the topic of the Puglia and Basilicata comprehensive school enlargement. Introduction of the international competition "10+ Europa Corto Festival" addressed to the European schools for the production of a short film.
January-March 2006: cinematic exhibition with projection of films coming from Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Czech Republic and Latvia.
April/May 2006: final event to celebrate the second anniversary of the new countries entry into the Union.
